VIVA ARCHITECTURE (SEPTEMBER 2022)

To open up exceptional places that are usually hidden from view; to initiate meetings that will last over time; to offer freshly graduated architects the opportunity to carry out a project, the first for many of them; to show that architecture is above all a matter of space, volume, air, materials, light, reflections... The challenges of the Festival des Architectures Vives (FAV), created 16 years ago by the architects Élodie Nourrigat and Jacques Brion within the framework of the Champ Libre association, are many and varied.
This new special edition of L'Architecture d'Aujourd'hui presents, in 6 thematic chapters, an anthology of installations that have enchanted the courtyards of private mansions in the centre of Montpellier as well as a few selected sites in La Grande Motte, on the occasion of the different editions of the FAV.

IN THIS ISSUE:
interview with the architects Élodie Nourrigat and Jacques Brion, founders of the FAV, and presentation in 6 chapters (Optical illusions, Micro-architectures, Parasitic structures, Light and shadow, Vegetal follies and Species of spaces) of more than 40 installations presented during the 16 editions of the festival.
